Bio-Bottle: Tacx's environmentally friendly water bottle

Biodegradable plastics are a necessity for the environment, strained as it is by our modern way of life! That is why Tacx has taken up the challenge of developing a biodegradable, "environmentally-friendly" water bottle. The Bio-Bottle features the same characteristics as the other Tacx water bottles, but with the distinction of being made of biodegradable plastic. By adding a tiny amount of a raw material called Bio-batch the plastic's molecular structure is modified such that it will ultimately disintegrate and end up as Biogas and Biomass. These will serve as fertilizer for the soil and will be fully absorbed by nature.

Light, heat and moisture do not affect the product's quality. There is no need to worry about your bottles disintegrating on the shelf. Biodegradation will only commence once the water bottle ends up in a microbiological environment (a compost heap, landfill). The entire compost cycle will take 1 - 5 years.
