2012 Tacx Bushido "2" (second generation)  Wireless Ergotrainer features a new push button head unit with back light display as well as a new work power unit that manages heat generated from intense workouts.  The Tacx Bushido trainer is entirely wireless.  You do not need to plug it into an electric outlet. Demanding cyclists like you can now ride wherever they want in the world, indoors and outdoors. But that is not all there is to the Bushido. Not only will the handlebar-mounted computer show you all the necessary information (power, heart rate, cadence, speed, time, etc.) on its graphic display, it also features waterproof keys that will react to the energy from your fingers. Operation is stunningly easy; the menus have been designed such that you can start training at once.  The Tacx Bushido Wireless Trainer is the most versatile trainer that Tacx offers. When you add the VR PC  Upgrade kit, you can turn your Ergo trainer into a wireless Virtual Trainer like its big brother - Tacx Genius VR trainer that's due to be released in March, 2012. 

 

You will love the sturdy frame and how it stands firmly on any surface or floor. The Bushido also has a very powerful braking system with a flywheel that is entirely integrated into the shell and can manage the heat generated from intense workouts. The Bushido is equipped with LEDs. The more power you generation, you'll see the red LED more brightly; if you are riding at a lower intensity the green LED lamps will have the upper hand. This is an easy way of visualizing your performance.

 

Power in watts, speed and cadence are transmitted via ANT.  The Tacx Bushido Wireless trainer even measures left & right leg balance. The Bushido uses ANT+ Power protocol so it can connect to your SRM, CycleOps or Quarq powermeter.

 

 

The Bushido combines smart technology with smart design. Because there are no cables you have great flexibility in locating your bike in the trainer. The set-up takes no more than 30 seconds. With the Bushido you can even do a pre-programmed warm-up shortly before an event. No longer do you need an electrical power supply so you can set it up anywhere you like.
