2012 Fulcrum Racing 3 Clincher Wheels

Fulcrum redesigned its Racing 3 clincher wheelset and reduced the weight by 100 grams . Fulcrum uses a new rim extrusion process and spoke pattern on the wheels to improve the overall performance.  Fulcrum Racing 3 wheels feature special milled aluminum rims to offer another weight advantage by eliminating the need for rim tape.  Additinoally, the undrilled rims offer greater torsional rigidity and greater vertical elasticity.  The oversize hubs, with an aluminium body and axle, feature adjustable high-precision bearings to achieve the best performance every time. The front 16 spokes have variable thickness for a more aerodynamic profile to enhance aerodynamic penetration and reduce the formation of vortices. There are 21 rear spokes using the Two-to-One ratio to give better balance on both sides.  Racing 3 wheels incorporate Fulcrum's Dynamic Balance so the wheel is balanced during rotation thanks to a special rim design that counterbalances the joint section.
