Improvements include an Ultra Shift outer plate and Z-shaped inner plate that are stiffer and results in quicker shifting. The Campagnolo M-brace body is far more rigid and anti friction treatment applied to the inside of the plates helps prevent chain wear which results in longer life. A lot of time and energy from Campagnolo's engineers went into this particular component. Campagnolo Record 11 speed front derailleur features the same blacked out alloy body as the rear derailleur to streamline the look of the components
